Most people say that they hate Monday. They say that Monday is the worst day of the week. Now, If you've been reading my blog/LJ/whatever this is, you'll know that I view Thursdays as the worst day of the week. Mondays, however, I like. They're not the best day of the week, but they're pretty high up there. This Monday (so far) is no exception.

Reason #1 that this Monday is awesome: Great weather. It's about 70°F outside and it's calm and beautiful. I love days like this. Last year, there was one day like that, and we opened all the windows in my English class. It was, by far, the best day of class EVER. (Then again, I liked that class a lot anyway.) So I drove to school with my car windows down and I have my windows open now and it's really great.

Reason #2: Constitution Day was nothing. Either my teachers didn't get the memo or figured that they didn't have time, because no one spouted any kind of crap propaganda at me. It was great. (My Art History teacher did mispronounce 'Hammurabi' as 'Hammersby' throughout the entire class until I finally said it correctly too loudly and she heard.)

Reason #3: I wasn't home today. While this is somewhat of a weird thing for me to say, (I love being home,) there is a good reason. You see, one of our cats has been sick for a few days. (I'm sure you can see where this is going.) Just yesterday I was saying to Seth on the phone, "We never take our cats to the vet... we're too cheap." OH LOOK AT THE IRONY. Mom took the cat to the vet this morning and, what a shock, she had to be put down. So I missed the cat funeral today. I'm not really an animal person, so I'm not that upset (I didn't like the cat much anyway... her name was Bad Kitty for a reason) but I feel bad for my sister. It was her cat, see, and she's upset about it. She's taking it well though... she was smiling and making jokes when I got back. So that's good.

(My little siblings are really freaked out though... they think that if they have to go to the doctor for weird reasons, the doctor will kill them. Tommy Sammy thinks that he's going to die when he falls asleep now. I feel really bad for them. They need hugs. :( )
