A post? What?
It's been, what, 2 1/2 months? Yeah. So! Let's do a recap of what has happened since November 10th! Ready? Yay!

Well, I had my Chorus recital, which was loads of fun even though I didn't have the camera. There was an art exhibit beforehand, with snacks and stuff, so my class hung out around there. I even had some of my art hung on the walls, because my art teacher thought it would be cool. "Still Life With Tobasco Bottle" for the win! Sometime I'll scan that or take a picture of it and put it up here. Anyway, we had the concert, and then we had a party in the class on the following Tuesday. I made brownies! They were delicious and I should make brownies more often.

After the end of my Chorus class, I had exams. Oh hooray. Fortunately for me, this past semester I only had two *real* finals: Chemistry and Art History. Actually, Art History was a joke. So I only had one real final, and it took a while but ended up okay. I ended up getting fairly good grades in all my classes, so I was happy about that.

Then, of course, there was Christmas, which was lovely as always. Very laid-back and boring. ... well, as boring as a day in my house can be. But it was nice. I got LAMPSHADES, OMGZ. Seriously, one of the best presents I got. I also got some makeup and funky smelling soap and stuff like that. I wonder if my parents are trying to tell me something...

In other school-related stuff, I applied to 5 colleges: Bethany in Mankato MN, Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester NY, and ECU, Appalachian State and Barton College here in NC. So far I've been accepted to Bethany, Barton and Appalachian State. Hooray! My hope is to go to Bethany, but it's really far away and rather expensive, so I know I can't count on it. Oh well. RIT is my next choice, but no word from them yet.

So after the holidays, I started my new semester, which is very lovely. Not as terrible and evil and... bad... as my last semester. Thursdays are good again! I attribute this to the lack of Mrs Romero. Though I did see her in my history class one day because my real teacher was gone. I almost choked on my tongue. Not cool. Anyway, I've got all great classes so far, and I *really* hope that my tennis class is good too. That starts in February, so I've got a few weeks for that.

The one last semi-interesting thing that happened was that my dad got a call to a church in Kerrville, TX. The church had a school. The church wanted all of us to go to this school. The church thought we could buy a house that would fit 11 people that we could afford on a $40,000 salary. Needless to say, we didn't take the call. Our family was happy. No moving this month! Yay!

Oh yes, and we've lived here for 5 years. This is a new record. :D

Why does everyone keep saying Bethany is expensive? It only looks expensive until you get your financial aid package. After that it's not any more expensive than a state school.

Ooh, and we could be roommates!

For my family, it's kinda... really expensive. Even though I already got their Presidential Scholarship and am applying for Federal Aid and Pell grants and all that, (and the big scholarships, like the full ride and that one Ethan got that I can't spell,) it's still going to be a lot. Well, if I get the one Ethan got, I could probably make it work. I hope. (That's why I want to come up there in April; it's when the interviews and all that stuff for the scholarships is.)

And I'm going to assume this is Dee. Please don't be Jacob or Ethan; I'll be terribly disturbed if you are. (Dee, I would totally be your roommate. Ethan/Jacob, not so much. Sorry.)
